1800 100 500 provides expert information, advice and support, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. No issue too big, no question too small.
For the following:
- Live with dementia
- Know or care for someone with dementia
- Work with people with dementia
- Are concerned about your thinking, mood and memory
- Have mild cognitive impairment
Immunisations
The following vaccines are provided free to older Australians under the National Immunisation Program (NIP).
People in these age groups are at high risk from influenza (flu) and pneumococcal disease and the complications they can cause. The great majority of deaths from these two diseases occur in these age groups.
- People over 65 years are also advised to have dTpa, a diphtheria-tetanus-whooping cough booster, if they have not received one in the previous 10 years, although this is not funded under the NIP. Also free vaccinations for Influenza and for >70 years old, Pneumococcal (Prevenar 13).
- 50 years and over (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples) - Free Pneumococcal (Prevenar 13)

You should never assume you are too young, too old or too unhealthy to sign up to become an organ and tissue donor.
Registration is a quick and easy online process through www.donatelife.gov.au and can be done at any date or time.
